Hi!

I'm a UX Researcher and Designer with a BA in Digital Art & Animation. I use design and language to communicate ideas through my work, to engage people and understand their passions. My skills in presentation and customer relations allow me to center visually-appealing products around user and business needs.  My experience in management gives me the ability to motivate and lead teams and drive results.

As a former chef and ESL teacher, I use the tools I have to affect people in a way that inspires confidence.  I put concepts into a tangible context that people can understand, relate to and build upon.  I strive to understand people's needs and frustrations, and find solutions.

I was born in Virginia and graduated from George Mason University. I’ve spent a decade working as a chef, managing kitchens and running my own catering business. I spent two years teaching English as a Second Language in public school in South Korea. I currently live in Durham, NC.

I love to listen to records, especially jazz and R&B, and I play the upright bass. I have a huge collection of vintage video games and enoy selling collectibles on eBay. I’m an SME in Godzilla movies, and a huge fan of the horror genre.
